Directed by Justin Lord and featuring the incredibly talented singer/songwriter Mouki, this music video for "Fakes and Actors" follows a girl navigating her identity in a world that wants her just to fit in.
This video has three distinct factions of characters, each with its own visual language, expressed in costume and face paint. This project had a tight budget, but creativity thrives with boundaries and limitations. I'm looking forward to joining Mouki in her future creative endeavors, and am honored to have been a part of such a talented cast and crew.

Basketcase
Based on the short story written by Justin Lord, "Basketcase" follows a mysterious family with a dark secret. This thriller is full of whimsy and dark fantasy tones.
This project was several years in the making. Justin and I took turns writing and re-writing the short script until we arrived at this version. Working together, we directed this film: Justin managed the producing side of things while I took on the production design.
This story takes place in the home of an isolated family and an enchanted crystal cave. Each family member dons a handmade basket, some made with materials from my own childhood home.

Directed by the ever-creative Griffin Douglass, this film is full of his usual whimsy with a dash of irony. We follow a children's entertainment animatronic cowboy as he fights his programming and seeks to add some creativity back into his regular stage show.
I had so much fun designing the logos, posters, merch, and more of an entire franchise, but the most fun was the mouthwateringly colorful stage area. I had the privilege of working with a whole team of talented artists as we fabricated props, built walls, and costumed our zany cast of characters.
Life of Zosima

My senior thesis, based on a portion of the classic novel "Brothers Karamazov," follows a young monk, Father Zosima, as he meets a stranger with a dark secret.
This 30-minute film set in 1800's Russia was shot on a $2000 budget in a single weekend. I am beyond thankful for the talented cast and crew that helped this project come to life, and excited to announce that I will be continuing development on a feature version of this film moving forward.
Amelia "The Twin"

Written and directed by the ever-talented Luke and Ethan Montgomery, Amelia "The Twin" follows a young girl as she seeks to understand what makes her unique.
I had so much fun picking out costumes for the twins and all the other students, to help create a look that felt like a storytelling childhood. I loved filling the classroom and bedroom with trinkets and reports, bursting with color and detail.
It's always an absolute pleasure to work with Luke and Ethan, and I look forward to our next project together.
Torrey Honors Bible Fundraising Campaign

The Torrey Honors Bible Fundraising Campaign features handmade stop-motion videos filmed on an iPhone. Shot in three separate years, each campaign featuring a video exceeded donation expectations, on one occasion nearly doubling our goal.
While the rustic look of these projects makes me cringe a bit, I am still charmed by the whimsy and heart in these videos.
Bowlts Mini Series

Bowlts is a 5-episode, off-the-wall mockumentary miniseries about a collegiate bowling team. Brimming with larger-than-life characters and absurd scenarios, this project was a blast to work on. It's always fun to pick out costumes and select props, but Bowlts had me in stitches as I gathered the goofy outfits and ridiculous items needed for the story. The set designs feature my classic maximalist approach, with a more "handmade" feel.
I was honored to guest-direct episode three, and enjoyed every moment working with the amazing cast and crew.
